Beautiful but impractical… very disappointing

I’ve been looking at this dress for a while so I was so excited to purchase it when it was made available again. The dress is beautiful and very well made but, it’s very impractical! You cannot zip up the dress on your own because the romper doesn’t allow you to twist the dress in order to reach the zipper that’s located on the back. You also cannot go to the bathroom without removing the whole dress because of the romper which means, you cannot go to the bathroom alone because you need help to get the dress back on! I purchased a very expensive dress that I cannot wear unless I have help getting in and out of it.
However, the most disappointing thing was I was expecting the dress to have a bat charm on the zipper as it was in the pictures on the ad as well as in the description for the dress at the time of purchase, luckily I have screenshots of the description as the website has since been updated. I’ve tried reaching out many times to customer service without any response. It is a shame because I love supporting small businesses when I can, I love what weasel wear stands for, and I love the designs. I just feel slighted because I was expecting a bat charm on the zipper and it’s not there.

Hi MJ!! We’re sorry the Nosferatu didn’t end up being practical for you, and we appreciate you saying that you found the dress beautiful and well made.

We do want to clarify a couple of things, especially regarding customer service. After seeing this review, we searched our records for the email associated with your order and cannot locate any previous customer service messages regarding this issue. The only correspondences we can find from this email address were regarding a request for in-person pick-up, and another for Nosferatu restock availability prior to purchase. If you contacted us from another email address, please send that information to us so we can investigate, because we absolutely do not want customer messages going unanswered.

Regarding the bat charm, you are correct that it was pictured and described when you purchased, and we take responsibility for that. The charm was originally intended as a center-bust decorative detail, not as a functional zipper pull. During our previous production it was attached to the back zipper by the factory, but unfortunately that placement proved too fragile and we received reports of the charms breaking or falling off. We therefore removed it from this production run entirely. There was a delay in updating some of the older product imagery, and that portion is on us. We sincerely apologize for the discrepancy.

The built-in romper and center-back zipper are intentional parts of Nosferatu’s construction and are disclosed in the product listing. Because it is a romper, the garment does need to be removed for restroom use, and depending on an individual wearer’s mobility, the back zipper may be easier to manage with assistance.

I HIGHLY recommend this dress! I fell in love with it the moment I saw it, but it was sold out in my size at the time. I waited until it came back in stock and the quality is to die for. This is my third dress by Weasel Wear and I love each one!

Absolutely gorgeous!

I am absolutely in love with this! It's make incredibly well and I got compliments all day on it. My one complaint is that the romper part underneath is a bit baggy. I'll probably get that tailored. That being said if you have a bit of an apron belly this would accommodate it!
